Doug, I received my new E-Bike Solutions conversion kit over a month ago. It arrived a few days after I ordered it. Thank you for your usual prompt service and also for an excellent kit. This is my 3rd e-bike conversion and as usual installation was easy and the results amazing. Five weeks later, I’ve ridden 400+ miles and am wildly enjoying my Terra Trike Sportster e-trike and had forgotten to thank the one who helped make this enjoyment possible. So this is my thank you.
I graduated from 3-wheelers when I was 4 years old and have ridden 2-wheelers for the following 70 years. I own and have ridden bikes of all shapes and sizes. For the last 18 years, though I mostly rode a DIY long wheelbase recumbent 2-wheeler. After moving from the flatlands of TX to the highlands of Chino Valley AZ I was worried about the condition of my knees while straining up the steep roads here. I bought one of your kits. The transformation to my old recumbent was amazing. I’ve ridden 3000+ miles in the last 3 years and I believe every dog in the county has barked at me as I flew past.
Finally, though, the concerns of my wife and daughter convinced me to consider a 3-wheeler. As this is my first grown-up trike I had quite a few concerns. It was kind of you to spend time addressing my worries and answering my questions and your advise was knowledgeable and intelligent Doug, thank you. I’ve enclosed some pictures of the trike. Notice that I mounted the battery transversely and behind the seat. It is low and centered in the wheelbase of the trike and well-protected. The controller is mounted on the back of the seat and the display is on the left handlebar. I placed the thumb throttle on the right. As I stated after my original install (the long wheelbase, DIY recumbent) it is remarkable how the hills of Chino Valley AZ are smoothed-out by this powerful e-motor.
Finally, to any potential new customers of Electric Bike Solutions: Doug knows his business. His e-bike kits are top-notch, he is easy to reach, generous with his knowledge and advice and he is honest. I was planning to buy the whole kit including battery. He told me, “Mike, if you really want to buy a battery, I’ll sell it to you. But in your situation, you don’t need one!” And he was right. It has been years since someone selling something to me gave my such good, honest advice–at his cost. Thank you, Doug.”
